I normally love Karen Cass as a narrator - in fact I normally look for books narrated by her! - but, Geordie is not one of her best accents.
It was a shame as it distracted me a bit from the story, which I did enjoy.

The funniest of Portia's book ever, a laugh a minute. The end was a bit disappointing but not to such a degree that is spoiled the book.
As always, Karen does an amazing job!

I absolutely love the story and I normally love Karen Cass’ narration however the Geordie accent and the Manchester accent definitely need a little bit of work.
The story was really good. I love the way it played out however the accent just made it very difficult to listen to and if I wasn’t already a fan of Portia Maclntosh and Karen Cass I wouldn’t have been able to find the book.

I like Portia Mackintosh as a writer and I download any new book she brings out. And I like Karen Cass as a narrator and very often like books because of her narration. However, this one I just couldn't quite finish this one as I found that she couldn't do the accent and it was cringy to listen to so I just had to stop listening to it.

I love both Portia as an author and Karen as a narrator, they are both my favourite and usually a match made in heaven, but the accent on this audiobook completely ruined the story and made it hard to listen to. I SO wanted to love it but it was ruined by the accent.
