My favourite Armentrout book yet!
Characters have depth, steamy but not too steamy that it takes away from the story line. Great book overall! Can’t wait for the next :)

Another amazing creation by JLA
This book is the first part of a new world created by JLA and is amazing, full of banter, adventures, world building and spice. Narrator managed to build beautifully to the mood of the book, I enjoyed this audio version a lot.

A fall of wrath and disappointment when Next tome not available.
Friendship and loyalty in a vicious world can be priceless. I liked the story development though some scenes seemed needlessly prolonged. And “not my lord” must have come up 1000 times or more. Despite these, I binge listened this, And look forward to next book.

Bonkers premise, but a fun listen
I love a lot of things about JLA's writing, bit I really dislike the cliffhanger endings.
Anyway, this was a fun romantasy read, basically with alien beings who are physically configured for the heightened enjoyment of [the stuff that goes on in romantasy books ]

Good but ‘samey’
Storyline so far feels like accumulation of other various series by author (which have thoroughly enjoyed), bit disappointed main character same telepathic powers as Poppy and unknown heritage again feels predictable but it’s only book one so guess lot could change? Well read by narrator.

Very hot
if you like a steamy read 📚 this book is for you. The storyline is like others she's used before but differs to keep you interested. I read the next instalments on the back of this one if/when written.
