About this listen

Learn all about the Savage Stone Age, with all the nasty bits left in. You probably thought that Stone Age people spent all their time standing stones up on one end and rubbing sticks together to make fires.

My daughter loved it when the person in the studios said the thing about not letting the public know how they made the sound effects even though we could hear as well as the thing about the frock!!!🤣💖👍👏😁

I liked the parts about Stone Age school because children went hunting. I think a child age 7-10 would enjoy this book.

Good facts, told in a childish way.

I remember getting the Horrible Histories books free with cereal and in the Radio Times as a kid, so it was a great bit of nostalgia for me who loved them as a kid. Listening to them as an adult, obviously, not the target audience, but still amusing to listen to, (so would be palatable for any parent having to listen to them on car journeys).

I would say that the books are more interesting, as they are quite visually appealing, the art was always a big draw for me as a kid. That is obviously missing in the audiobook, but the voice acting and performance adds a new aspect of entertainment. (Also means you could by the audiobook, and the book, as they offer the story in different ways).

Was lovely to listen to again, even after several years of history at uni level, and a great starting point for any child interested in history!

Nostalgic for an Adult, Great listening for a kid.
