It was refreshing that, instead of giving a one-size-fits-all suggestion, or promoting a certain approach as "the best", the author often mentions a couple different suggestions or strategies, saying that any of them could work for you, and acknowledging that different people and situations need different methods for handling finances.
I appreciated how this book doesn't just give a list of tips and how to implement them, but goes into the reasoning behind the financial advice. This not only gives credibility to all the tips and strategies, but helps the information stick, and will make it easier for teens and college students to absorb and actually apply.
And the illustrations and analogies are very motivating and creative. I mean, who wouldn't love to "Slay the Tax Dragon!" or "Defeat the Villain!" (Don't bother asking - you'll have to listen to the book, because I'm not giving the villain's identity away!) So buy this book for the teens and college students in your life, because, let's face it, they might not have the money to be purchasing many books at this stage of life, and you sure don't want them relying on Google searches or random advice for their finanical decisions.

Although I have read and listened to many personal finance books, they are repetitive and do not teach you anything new. This book, however, contains many secrets for gaining an edge and gives examples of how to do that, methods not found in general financial literacy.
I will surely be passing this book down to my niece and nephew.
Not the usual.

I found out about the 50-30-20 rule and paying yourself first. The rule of 72 explains why a penny saved is not a penny earner. In the final section. the author’s buy, borrow and die strategy finally made sense to me because of what I had been taught in the first part of the book. This book lays the foundation for handling money and debt and why banks are not your best friend.
Money Info you need but aren’t taught.
