I was in two minds whether to give this 2 stars or 5. I opted for 5. The reason being this story was so beautifully and vividly written. I was whole heartedly invested in the characters and I fell for Ren just like Della did. He was the most beautiful soul. The only thing was this story absolutely broke me. I was a mess for days. Welling up at odd times. To be honest, this story is too amazing not to be heard. I loved the narration which added a whole new dimension to the immersion of the story. Read it knowing it will restore and strengthen your faith in love but be warned you’ll need more than one box of tissues.
I’ve decided to go on and read The son and his Hope straight away because I can’t let go just yet. A masterpiece Pepper, well done.

this story was heartbreaking it undone me in such a way. my heart felt like little ribbon. I had listened to this story in 1 day and most the night till 4am in the morning I could not put it down. it was a powerful story.

Honestly can not recommend this book enough! You do have to read/listen to book one first as this story follows directly on from the first. I really liked the 2 main characters in book 1 but I fell in love with them in this book. No spoilers but you will sob, it's 2 days after I finished and still get a lump in my throat when I tell someone about this story. Please read this book due, so good. 10/10 pepper thank you for writing this book.

If the first book tugged on my morals, then this one tugged on my heart strings. Della and Ren's journey continues in this book and it is absolutely heart breaking and riddled with anguish. This is a love story like no other. It is love that is unconditional, transcending the relationship of siblings, lovers, friends, parental guardianship.. it is simply love in it's purity and entirety. There are few books that touch me the way this did, I unashamedly cried.

Pepper Winters has way of clawing at my emotions like no other, the only other time I invested this much into characters was with her dollar series (another highly entertaining must read). She is truly gifted and I will obviously read the final instalment of this series to see where the journey takes me.. no doubt I'll be left emotionally drained!

Heart breaking, endearing, captivating and firmly ingrained on my mind

Oh my God! Its a kind of book i have never heard or read. Though I have read tragedies but never of this kind. It keeps you hooked, locked, addicted to its tale of ups and downs in the life of Ren and Della. I had fallen in love with both of them in the first book but this book just cemented itself in the deep recesses of my heart word by word..

The previous books of Pepper gave me an idea that her books always have a dark corner but not even the prologue can prepare me for the despair I know I was going to face. Despite knowing the ending you are bound to read it, till the end as it is one of those rare gem that will grab your heart and you will feel each of its beats along with Della. You'll long to have the kind of love and connection share by them, To taste the kind of love they were forever bonded by. I have only praises for this book. As a bookoholic I want to request you to please read it as its one of a kind experience of life. A piece of reality though bitter but needed to be tasted as it is something to be always cherished & treasured in your soul.
Keep your tissues handy in the final chapters..

Once again the second part was even better than the first book, if that is even possible. I don't know how Pepper Winters does what she does, she's truly an amazing writer. Also, Will M Watt won my heart in this book also, I've never cried as much listening to him. The emotion and passion with every word he spoke. I was totally in love by the end and my heart was so happy and also broken. It has to be my favorite duo of all times
