I dislike first person narration, the writing although dealing well with relationship themes felt immature and formulaic, the plot was slow to start and continued to plod rather dissapointing after the first book In the series

The narrators of this do a fantastic job and the book is well written with a great story too.
Dylan is a new author to me but I like Stephen Dexter and thought I’d give it a go, I wasn’t disappointed. I love the characters and the plot. It kept me engaged from the very beginning right to the end. There’s one particular line in the book that made me laugh out loud, when you get to it you’ll know. On to the next book in the series.

Great easy listen.
Both narrators are great! Thankfully both are more animated than many others on audible and their enthusiastic reading really helps bring the book alive... The story feels a little slow in the mid section of the book, but stick with it, it's with it... A very enjoyable all round book!... and it's free!... I'm just starting book two!... enjoy!

P.S. The 'adult sections' of relationship in the book sometimes have a little slight, Dom Sub vibe to them! Just in case that's not your thing!

Overall the story is good. lots you don't see coming and some you do. the main characters are likable and you root for them the whole way through.
THE villains are despicable and throw some cruel curveballs . however , it just doesn't let up for one second. ITS EXHAUSTING and gave me a headache after a while . What I mean by that is there's no normality or light-heartedness to any of the dialogue or thought patterns in-between the bombshells along the story .


The performance grates on you as they deliver every line in earnest and the huge storyline bombs don't hit as hard as they should as the poor characters feel so intensely about EVERYTHING the performers have nowhere to go to heighten the drama.

overall it was a good story for an included book but quickly gets annoying.

OMG. Loved, loved, LOVED this story!!! Did not expect it to run over the span of years it did, but found the back and forth of the storyline really easy to follow. Read these books out of sequence as only this one as free, but ended up paying for the first and third books (well worth the money btw). Highly recommend this!!
